Today on Santee Cooper Lake, anglers enjoyed a fruitful day of fishing amidst calm waters and clear skies. The catfish bite was particularly strong, with many anglers landing impressive catches using cut bait and live bait near submerged structures. Largemouth bass were also active, responding well to topwater lures and soft plastics along the shoreline. Crappie action was steady, with anglers finding success around brush piles and bridge pilings using jigs and minnows. Overall, it was a rewarding day on the water, with anglers leaving with plenty of memories and fish for the frying pan.
